Lucasfilm has released a new trailer for the seventh and final season of Star Wars: The clone war. In the new season, from Friday the 21st. February, addition of 12 new episodes of the animated series to the Disney+ streaming service. The new season will feature stories about Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ashoka Tano and Darth Maul ahead of Star Wars events: The Sith’s revenge is over. It is directed by Dave Philoney, currently director and executive producer of a Mandalorian film.
Disney has also released a new keyposter for the series. Below you can see the trailer and the poster.
Made by George Lucas, Star Wars: In The Clone Wars Matt Fanter plays Anakin Skywalker, Ashley Ashstein plays Ahsoki Tano, Dee Bradley Baker is Captain Rex and the clone paratroopers, James Arnold Taylor is Obi-Wan Kenobi, Kathy Sakhoff is Bo-Katan and Sam Widower is Mola.
The series started with Star Wars: Feature film The Clone Wars of 2008. This film was used as a pilot for the series. The program with computer animations was continued for five seasons on the Cartoon Network. Netflix resumed the series in its sixth season with the Lost Missions title, which began in 2014. It was followed by the Clone Wars Legacy Project. These were comic books, novels and animatronics based on unfinished Star Wars: Episodes of the Clone Wars.
Dave Philoney announced the seventh season of Comic-Con. He personally told the official Star Wars website that he was very helpful after the announcement. For a storyteller, every chance to tell the last parts of the story makes sense. I welcome the opportunity to define these things and the end of this part of the clone war. It also reminds me of all the people I’ve worked with over the years. It reinforces what I learned from George. It reminds me of some important elements in the creation of Star Wars. So it is good on many levels, and I think it is remarkable for a team that is still here and working on the Clone Wars.
The resumption of the Clone Wars follows a fan campaign to see how the story ends. Some Star Wars fans appreciate the anime series because it offers a new added value to the previous Star Wars trilogy. The series gave new depth to their characters and revealed the personal value of the war organized by Dark Sidious. The series also included Padawan Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoku Tano, a popular hero fan who leaves the Jedi Order at the end of the sixth season of the series. She was reborn with the rebels of Star Wars, the spiritual successor to the Clone Wars, as a villain who fought the Jedi in an uprising against the Empire.
I think there have been many different stories, Philoni said about the continuing appeal of the show. We should not underestimate the importance of the fact that so many people grew up with the show. Clone Wars was a part of Star Wars that older fans may not have taken seriously at first because they were cartoons, but it wasn’t an obstacle for children. They loved the clones and identified with them. Ahsoka gave the children a character similar to her own – someone their own age who had experienced the difficulties of life and learned from them. Because we had a new episode every week, we were also able to dynamically investigate what happened to the new and old characters, including Anakin and Obi-Wan. I think the stories left a lasting impression, and of course George knew he would. He always knew that.
